Our client is the district's major referral centre and is seeking an additional General Medicine/ Anaesthetic SMO.

This hospital services a regional population of 45,000 and provides a broad range of secondary level services in Emergency, Medicine, Surgery, Obstetrics, Gynaecology, Intensive Care, Paediatrics and Psychiatry. A full obstetric and gynaecological service is provided and supported by specialist medical and nursing staff.  Diagnostic and laboratory services at a secondary level are provided as are allied health and community health services.  A private hospital is located next door to the public hospital, and operates within a collocation agreement.

As an SMO within this service you will be working under a salaried arrangement.  You will participate on the on-call roster, and may be required to supervise and educate junior medical staff, and contribute to the development of the service.

To be eligible for this role you will require:
PGY 6+
wide experienc in Anaesthetics
experience working with the principles of evidence based practice
proven ability to work in a highly collaboratibe manner with other medical, nursing and allied health staff
a keen desire to make this beautiful part of Queensland your home for at least the next few years
